Hi all, I live in very coastal california and probably wont get any frost this year again. I have about 20 chile plants, somewhat the worse for wear, but still well alive in the ground outside. Can I prune these and get a good crop of fruits, or would I get more from newly started plants? Is pruning them worth it? (they are anahiem types, poblano types, and jalapenos.) If it is worth pruning them, do I just lop off some of the taller branches, or cut very severely and closer to the ground to stimulate all new growth? thanks, Janet.
