Dear fellow US Chileheads and Tomato Fanatics: I just found out that an Idaho potato grower's organization has donated 20 million pounds of surplus Idaho Russet potatoes to Second Harvest, the group that distributes food to food banks across the country. The catch is that someone has to pay the shipping and handling costs. A $15.00 donation will pay shipping and handling for 250 pounds. We always try to grow an extra row of veggies for our local food bank, but think this is a pretty good idea too. If you're interested, check out http://www.potatoharvest.org which will take you to the web site. Since chiles, tomatoes and potatoes are all members of the same family, consider this on-topic<VBG> Dave Anderson TLCC Http://www.tough-love.com
