1# per plant is the figure that I do use for estimates. Little less than that for habs, more for japs, way more for new mex, way WAY less for Tepins. 48,400 is figuring a little high on the plant density. You still need inter-row areas and drive rows. 2.5 acres at my density would be 20,000 plants (8,000 to the acre). 10 tons is STILL alot of chiles though ;-) -Jim C Mild to Wild
