Oh, dear god, DON'T GROW any heatless jalapenos. They are the "mad cow disease" of the capsicum species. Last year, I bought several Biker Billy plants, expecting some decently hot jals... what I actually got was puny, watery-flavored, wee-wee strength peppers. I've gotten more zip out of bells! The nursery apologized for my "loss", and offered to refund my money.
Karma did its thing, though, as I was able to attend Jim's Open Fields.. ah, bliss.
