[CH] Bitter fire

  Hi all.  It has been a while.  You probably don't remember me - I lurked from
'96 to early '99 - but I remember many of you.  I just re-subscribed 'cuz I
missed the list a lot.  It's great to be back reading about chiles everyday,
but I have a problem.
  Whenever I eat hot peppers they leave a bitter aftertaste in my mouth.  I
love the heat and the flavor of the pepper, but the bitter aftertaste slows me
down a lot.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Is it my brain's way of
stopping me from eating hot things?  Could I be tasting the cap left in my
mouth by the peppers?  Do I just have to deal with the bitterness to enjoy the
peppers?
