It seems to me that people in the US love chile peppers so long as they're down to less than 10 ppm in the cuisine. Why would a country so close to the origins of chile be one of the last to actually embrace the chile and start using it food and not just the advertising? Look at how much the chile pepper has spread around the world in all the various ethnic foods yet good ol' American food is still as bland as ever.
