Hi folks , here's a page that helps gardeners to diagnose general pepper plant ailments. ( or for that matter , many other veggie crops ) http://vegetablemdonline.ppath.cornell.edu/factsheets/Pepper_List.htm they even have advice for treating seeds at http://vegetablemdonline.ppath.cornell.edu/PhotoPages/Peppers/PepperLeafSpot/LSPepper6.htm egads , another mile long URL ... oh well , check the pages out if you're growing capsicums . on the subject ; my sole over wintering Brazilian Baccatum has had ( for most of a year ) some kind of leaf affliction . symptoms are: tan coloured , warty spotting on the leaf underside , between the veins ,bumpy , more concentrated closer to the leaf stem. the fruits , last fall , were untouched and healthy despite the leaf-thing. no insects evident. in fact, this was my only aphid free plant last year. ( though it found a few this spring ) the warts don't really seem to affect the plant very much , other than a suspected low fruit set and the overall appearance . oh yes ... this is a potted plant. any suggestions? scale type insects ? beri-beri ? dog-bite ? regards peter g
