Starbucks is kind of like the Wal-Mart of the coffee world.  They
move in, put up their mass-produced store fronts, sell mass-
produced coffee-like substances, drive local mom-and-pop
coffee shops out of business and drive the college/beatnik
wannabes up the wall.  Slandering Starbucks is fodder for
many a comedian's routine.  Personally, I refuse to patronize
a business where they make up names like "double almond
mocha frappucino latte".
