I reconstitute them in boiling water, simply wash them first, then pour boiling water over them. Let them sit for half an hour, remove stems, then simmer them, with a couple of cloves of garlic, chopped, an onion, chopped, and then after about 10 minutes simmer, into a blender, mush it all up, then seive the resulting liquid.....great, simple red sauce, or Salsa Colorado. If I want it hotter, I will add a couple of dried habs! Great stuff, simple to do, and quick! Then I freeze the salsa in an ice cube tray, and !voila! velly hot and velly cold salsa !
