I have a 21 cu-ft upright manual defrost by GE. FWIW, I live alone. Lots of room, everything's easy to find. Amana looked good, but I bought from a local place, so there wouldn't be a service problem later. They service what they sell. Buy local. Do not buy a frost-free. Freezerburn. Buy as big a freezer as you can fit in. Going to the next larger size doesn't cost much, and you wont ever regret it.
