Good point, but I don't think anybody in this thread mentioned PETA (of which I'm not and never will be a member), or being vegetarian (I am, but it's mainly for the sake of people, not animals), or being opposed to the killing of any animal ever (which I'm not), or commercial production. It just hasn't been my experience that one has to shoot cats to get them out of a home garden. The hose gets the point across just fine. And shooting people's pets when it isn't absolutely necessary is, IMHO, a lousy thing to do. So is bragging about it. YMMV.
