> Item two: Some relatives are visiting next week from NMex. It's early in > the season for Numex chiles...Any recommendations on what to ask 'em to > bring along? Hi, The first plant I bought was Numex. I didn't know it at the time because there wasn't a label. It's a NuMex Centennial. The chillies ripen from purple to cream to yellow to orange to red. It's a great plant and usually has plenty of chillies. The chillies are very flavoursome and have a unique taste. The plant also acts as a great ornamental. I've never had any of the other types of Numex so I don't know what's the best. But I do recommend Numex Centennial, one of my favourites. I hope this helps and you can find a picture of the chilli plant at: http://www.chilepepperinstitute.org/centennial.html There are other pictures of different Numex varieties at: http://www.chilepepperinstitute.org/chilei7.htm#Ca Good Luck, Cheers, Beau
