My DH's aunt sent me a clipping from a recent Sarasota newspaper with an article on a new hot sauce shop in the Sarasota area. Actually it is in Nokomis. Called D&P Hot Stuff at Nottingham TV Says that it has 500 varieties of hot sauces, condiments and other products. Looks good for my next visit. Hope they are there in 2 years when I go back. They sell the usual stuff along with Purgatory sauces (made in Sarasota), Acid Rain and Jelly from Hell and some milder things for non c-h's - Silver Palate Gazpacho Salsa (I've had that and it isn't too bad), Pig Out (a tropical salt-free seasoning mix) and something called Crack (a cracker orange, lemon and pepper seasoning). Looks good to me. Any Sarasota folk been there yet? BTW, the photos of me at Fiery Food Junction should be up at my website soon. Along with my Culinary Tour of Orlando & Kissimmee, and my Culinary Tour of Sarasota/Siesta Key. All that coming, and more...
