I'm hoping that you guys can help me...we are in the throws of a very serious drought here in central florida..well, we finally got a little rain the past few days...I went out this evening to hose all the mud off my peppers and flower beds and while I was watering, thousands, and I do mean THOUSANDS of these creatures that looked like little german cockroaches, but black, came crawling out of everywhere. they completely covered the wall of the house . My neighbor says they are nematoads...which could possibly explain why everything I have planted in the ground in the past six months has died in a matter of days..I've lost at least $200 worth of annuals..I plant them, water and fertilize, go out a couple of days later, and they are laying in a shriveled heap on top of the ground. Does this sound like nematoads? I have no idea what they looked like and couldn't find a picture on the net. and if so, how can I get rid of them for good? I didn't see any of these buggers until the rain. they are completely destroying my yard. Any help you guys can offer is greatly appreciated! HELLLLPPP!!!!!
