Lucky You ! ladybug larvae are just like cruising sharks (from an aphid's viewpoint!). these voracious little guys just patrol every square inch of a chile plant, consuming aphids as they go. i had to import a few (to Cameron's Y2K rocoto), from the rose bushes downstairs. they were VERY reluctant to walk off my hand onto the plant (rocoto prolly smells quite different after the rosebush); and in fact, they pretty much just sulked for a day or two! then appetite kicked-in and away they went, mowing down aphids like "Liz Taylor eats popcorn". there are 3 larvae on a six-foot plant, and they're keeping the aphid population well checked. easy as hell to capture ... and they stay where you put 'em ! regards peter g
