Not really chile related...at least not until I chop 'em up and mix 'em with some jalapenos, onion and garlic for making salsa verde; but, when are tomotillas ready to pick. I've never grown 'em before so don't have any practical experience. I assume they're pickable and usable as soon as they start breaking out of the husk.
