[CH] Habaneros

Hi All --

First a couple of notes about my "Chile-Headedness":

1. I enjoy heat, but I am certainly not up to the level of most on this
list. That is, I think that a sandwich just isn't a sandwich without about
1/2 tablespoon of Krakatoa on it, but I probably wouldn't put powdered red
hab on, say, my ice cream.

2. I don't grow as many chiles as do most folks here, but I have been
growing and eating habaneros for 10 or 11 years.

Now....

Last night I ate the first orange habanero out of this year's garden and OH
MY GOD.... This was the single hottest fresh chile I have ever eaten (never
had a fresh Red Savina before, though). I could not believe it! I cut it
open and my entire kitchen smelled like habanero (mmmmmmmmm...). I don't
know why this year's crop is so much hotter and tastier than last year's,
but I'm not complaining....

Atlanta-area chile heads (Randy, Suzanne, Sarah, and...?) -- if any of you
are not growing chiles this summer, I have a stinking ton of them (habs
included). Please let me know if you would like some.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Matt
