Can't burst my bubble Mark as I'm a firm believer everyone's entitled to
their own beliefs and tastes. Too, I was with you and Mr. Scissors, in that
I couldn't belive the likes of beer and peepers together would be anything
but horrible, especially ICKYPOO ale (which I've always believed went rite
from the Clydesdales straight into the bottles...). But thought the same
about chilpotles and PB until I tried it... I figured trying the Serrano
Ale was worth the cost of one six pack just to see.
I was right there with you, Mr. Scissors. Yup. But was the same with heat
and sweet. You'd think heat and cold wouldn't mix, but Oh! My does it ever!
At first you don't really notice the serranos - it's just beer. Then the
nicestest pepper warmth is on your lips and the back of your throat. Even
SandyO, if a beer drinker, could handle this stuff. Then you take another
sip of cold beer, get the great flavor, and then the mild warmth and tingle
hits again. It's neat!
Besides, I can't wait to think up more recipes using this beer. That's
going to be fun!
I'm *still* not up to trying vodka with peppers tho... Sounds HORRIBLE!
