Dave, As long as you are in here. I have a soil nutrient question. At NMSU there is a veggie growing table with the N- P requirements for chiles showing N = 1.5 and P = 1.5. On another NMSU page there is a statement that Potassium is very high in NM soils ergo K levels are not given on NMSU pages. Not even in the mineral content of cow flop.. Most other veggie listings I can find list that P and K should be a 1 to 1 ratio. But chiles are not on most veggie list. NMSU is the only site that shows the N requirements for chiles is lower than for tomatoes or bells. Bottom line is can I assume that for chiles the P - K ratio remains true for chiles in soils that are potassium poor. Thanks L.B.
