-=> Quoting tucker to All <=- tu> Hey, where's Jim??? tu> There's a program on the Travel Channel right now about golfing in tu> Yellow Knife. Looks pretty interesting up there... I like it. The long summer days are amazing. Most of the terrain is either Canadian Shield rock outcrop or swampy muskeg. Neither one is conducive to fairways or greens (or chile gardens). So our 9 hole golf course is on the beach of a lakeshore and has sand "greens". The 24 hour long midnight sun marathon tournie on June 21st is becoming quite famous. So is winter golf.... it's played on snowshoes with bright orange balls. If a raven (over-sized crow) steals your ball you can either shoot it and play where the ball falls or take a two stroke penalty. "Caddy, may I have my 20 guage and a #4 shell?" Cheers, YK Jim
