<<I can't believe another lover of Natto! Hubby favourites natto maki w/plenty of wasabi! Mary-Anne> Yes, NATTO! Most poeple either love it or hate it - there is normally not much in between ..... I happen to fall into the first category which gets thrilled when Natto gets served for breakfast when travelling in Japan and staying in a ryokan. Anyway, that <<Most Incredible Wasabi Lunch!> that I posted yesterday, may - if you are not familiar with Natto - be more exotic then you assumed at first sight. So if this conversation between Mary-Anne and myself has made you curious and you are tempted to try it out, you can buy Natto at the frozen section of your Japanese store. There are normally 2 or 3, some-times 4 small styro containers wrapped together. Keep them frozen and only unfreeze one at the time as needed. To unfreeze remove top cover half an hour before needed, or if in a hurry microwave for 30 seconds. Natto is slimy, you have to stir it (best with chopsticks) into the other ingredients. Two more things about Natto: it is an acquired taste, very different and unusual at first, so try to be patient .... if you can .... Second: Natto is extremely healthy! Curious, how many of you I can persuade to give Natto a try this weekend, Eruna
