Hi everyone! We just got back from a week in Athens. Boy, where we glad to get back home! Athens has beautiful parts but the ones we saw were dirty, dusty and noisy. And people would throw their trash in the streets or anywhere else so it was piled up everywhere. Bummer but we did see the sites like mount Akropoli and the Temple of Zeus etc. And they have a new built metro station (subway) which was beautiful. Nice beaches and good souvlaki. Just don't ever take a bus on sunday! I was supposed to meet a CH from Athens but it was a no go since the guy had a little accident and broke his tooth and couldn't eat. So I was doubley (?!)disappointed because I didn't meet my first CH and I had to live a week without heat. And I was so looking forward to it all! Oh well. I was in search for peppers and found some but they looked like the ones we get at the friday market in Arnhem so I didn't buy any. And later that day we had some for dinner and they were very mild. After some shopping we went into a store called Hondos Center and looked for some toys for our little one and ran into some really cool napkin holders. Chiles on top ofcourse. I was so happy that I found some cool peppers after all. Blew my disappointment away. We did pass a gambling store and it had a chileplant outside in the window. Didn't dare to ask what it was. People were very rude to us and mostly ignored us if and when we asked about anything. And if they weren't they were trying to cheat us. Sad. Well, Athens was a dirty city but it has a certain charm. It was nice for a week but more than enough and never again. I hope they'll fix it up nice for the 2004 Olympic Games. They have a whole lot to do! Peppers are doing well and survived a week without me. Lots of color in the garden from the ripe ones. BTW Randy Boulden, I got the seeds in the mail. Thank you very much. Please e-mail me off list! Rockin' Randy, hope to talk to you soon, sweets! Kiss kiss. Take care everyone, Miss Dewi
