I don't know how many of you guys have grown Purira peppers, but I have to say that this pepper is something to behold. This is my second year of growing these, and these are about the easiest pepper I've grown. Right now I have Scotch Bonnets, Red Savina, Biker Billy, Czech Black, Hot Yellow Peppers and regular Jalapenos (along with the Purira's). The Purira's are nothing short of prolific. They taste pretty good and the heat is quite decent. I'm partial to the taste of the Habanero, (my fiancé is partial to the jalapeno), so the taste of the Purira is more woody than I'd like, but it's excellent for salsas and for slicing (fat slices) and serving on crackers with a bit of goat cheese. YUM. I didn't know how many other CH people have grown this zealous plant, but I'd be interested to know if my experience with this plant is an aberration or if it's really this easy to grow abundant Purira plants year after year....
