Good Evening. In case you don't know about them, I would like to recommend a couple of good hot sauces. Here in Texas, at my Super One Foods and Brookshire's Grocery, they are available; we have a lot of Mexican hot sauces in our markets these days, with the influx of immigrants. As for the Vietnamese hot sauces, they are excellent. The "Sriracha" is sweet-sour, which normally I do not like; but this is a good combination of flavors. The last one listed below is so damn good, I can eat it by the spoonful right out of the jar. "Sriracha" has gone mainstream, as it showed up in my town; and another member of the list said that he could get it in his small town in Illinois. The other day I asked my grocery manager to order the "Viet-Nam" (which I now have to purchase at a Vietnamese market in Dallas) -- saying that if he could get the "Sriracha", he could also get the "Viet-Nam" because they are made by the same company, Huy Fong in California. http://www.huyfong.com/ Buon Appetito! Roberto MEXICAN La Costeņa Jalapeņo Mexican Hot Sauce According to the ingredients, this is about like buying a can of whole pickled jalapeņos from La Costeņa, and pureeing them in the blender, seasonings and all. But they add a bit of a smoky flavor to this "Tabasco-sauce" like concoction.
