I have wintered over habs w/o any problems in containers. Basically 1 to 2 gallon containers for small plants 10-15 gallon containers for larger plants. Place in a south facing window. Depending on the shape and size of the plant you can clip it back before you bring it inside. I do not clip them back that heavy but only stringy branches that seem like they will not produce fruit. If you shape now the plant should set flowers/fruit again and I usually get habs through Christmas, not huge ones but enough to remind me of the good times - smile. Nothing like a fresh habs to help out with the doldrums of winter! Let the plant wilt a bit before watering and I fertilize once in the spring before bringing back outside - round April or so. That is about it. ChesterChile "Steven E.
