I thought you all would get a kick out of this! I have a houseplant book that, though outdated, I love dearly. I was given a pod from a Christmas pepper (actually I found out it's the Variegated Flash with non-ripe peppers being purple colored) so I looked it up to see if there were any tips on starting from seed. No tips but I found part of the description funny. "These Christmas Peppers have been bred from Chili and Cayenne peppers, so the ornamental fruits are definitely not for eating as they are fiery." I thought that was the point of peppers? LOL! Do many of you use these peppers at all to spice up your winter dishes? Are they worth having around? Take care, Lora
