I have smoked Red SavinaŽ, red jalapenos, orange habs, and hungarian hot wax, on an off brand smoker I got at Home Depot for $50. Poor design makes controling heat really tough, first batch of chipotles were toast! I have been using off brand charcoal, and apple wood from trees I have trimmed on our farm. I have gotten the hang of it now, but next year I am going to find a WSM, or build a real smoker out of brick and mortar. Mike Shimek D & M Farms
