Hello everyone,

While waiting to go to 'Wild Willys Capsicum Cantina' this evening, I felt
that the time between brunch and dinner was a little long for my stomach, so
I embarked on one of my Indian drink preparations.

Today I made this drink with 4 serranos and 2 jalapenos. It wasn't hot. It's
supposed to be for 2 people (2 tall glasses), by the time I was ready to
leave the kitchen, it was all gone (there was no 2nd person that I shared it
with). So I would describe today's Neer More as tasty, but mild. A few weeks
ago, I made this drink with 4 green harbaneros. I tell you, it was a
different story ... and it lasted a little bit longer!

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 inch ginger root -- grated
6 green chili peppers -- finely chopped
1/3 bunch coriander leaves -- chopped
8 fresh curry leaves -- finely chopped
     1/2 lemon -- juice
     1/4 teaspoon Asefotida (hing powder)
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin seeds, roasted -- ground
     1/2 cup water
   2 cups plain yogurt
                        (half a family pack)
   1 pinch salt -- optional

Grate ginger into blender. Chop chili peppers, coriander leaves and curry
leaves (I do that with my Braun handchopper, adding the juice of 1/2 lemon
to create a paste). Add chopped peppers, herbs, lemon juice and Asefotida to
the grated ginger in the blender.

Roast the cumin seeds dry and then grind them into a powder. It really makes
a difference if you don't jump over this step! Add the cumin powder as well
as the water to the blender. Blend well. Add the yoghurt and the salt and
blend more. Adding some crushed ice is optional. Enjoy!
