Yeah, Tee Bear. Welcome to the list. For some reason Habs seem to rot faster than most chiles, I've found. I would refrigerate them. But otherwise, cut the rot off and make sure they aren't rotten inside. I find that sometimes habs are fine on the outside and the inside has some rot. I just cut the rotten parts off and eat the rest. Try the Habanero Lime Cheesecake and let the rest of us know how it came out and how it was received. Glad you joined. Don't be a lurker. oh, BTW, you bought serranos and anaheims too. What do you intend to do with those? Anaheims make great poppers and chile rellenos. Serranos are terrific in salsa and sauces and eaten fresh on top of things (for a real zing).
