Hey Pods! Want to thank Carp (and I hope it was you, otherwise please correct me!) for the chile paste and other great stuff at Open Fields. Actually we had a haul as far as chile stuff goes. Thanks all! (Jeff, haven't tried your rubs yet, but maybe this weekend I'll jerk a chicken and roast it on the grill.) Mary and I just had Chile McMuffins--toasted English muffin, egg (ok, egg sub), Morning Star breakfast patties, avocado, onions (no tomatoes handy...) and Carp's Chile paste! Great stuff! Someone here mentioned their roommate used a chilefied coffee mill for coffee which turned out pretty good, so this am I blended some Kona beans with some Espresso roast and threw in half a (dried) Devil's Tongue. Nice bite, good flavor. Mary likes a little creamer and I mixed some Hershey's sweet choc/cocoa with it. So good I had some meself. But the coffee's great straight, too. Personally I don't go for yuppie coffee but this is worth it. Probably haven't publicly thanked everyone at Open Fields for hospitality, gifts and company, so here it is: Thanks! Mary and I had a wonderful time meeting y'all! Just wish we could have spent more time with each of you. A week would have been much better. Chileheads are a remarkable bunch! Hot regards, Riley PS Thanks for the tagline, Bill J??? ;-) There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself. -- J.S. Bach
