Folks , there i was at Vancouver's "Granville Island Market" ; browsing thru the local "exotic ingredients" stall . hey, some interesting fresh chiles here ... well sorta fresh. withered stems, some dimpling, some obviously aged. names were ... Werri-Werri (alt Marie-Werie) & some Trinidad Christmas chiles, and some red & orange Habs mis-labeled as Jamaican Scotch Bonnets . get this tho' ... they're $5.00 / 100g ! put into perspective ; that's $50.00 per kilo , roughly $22.75 a Pound! i looked around for the "hidden-video candid-camera" type setup, but nothing ... apparently they're serious about the price. so was i ... i declined buying any ... can't believe the nerve ! regards peter g
