[CH] My first CH-meeting

Hi Podpeople,
Yes, it happened! I had my very first CH meeting on saturday. Russ and
Andrea flew over from PA to visit me for a few hours in Amsterdam. Since I
wasn't too familiar with the city I asked my brother to come along since
Emile was still in PA.
We met at Amsterdam Centraal, the train station. We were all excited to meet
eachother and we just started talking and never stopped! They brought me a
bunch of cool stuff I missed like Hamburger Helper and Velveeta shells and
cheese but the best item was most defenitely the welcoming mat with red and
green chiles! It is awesome!!! I bought them some sauces and some things for
the baby which I think they liked.
We walked around A'dam and looked at some of the buildings and stores and we
even passed a carnival. They were amazed by one of the attractions. It was
like a reversed bungee in a round chairlike seat. But we walked on and got
some Subway.
We had dinner at my brothers favorite restaurant Margaritas. Andrea had a
quesadilla, Russell had a Arawak pepper pot, I had a dish called jam session
and my brother had something I can't pronounce. But the Arawak pepper pot
was so great tasting. Nice spicy taste but not too hot. Same with my Jam
session which is a mix of meat and seafood in a gorgeous gravy. If anyone
has a recipe for the pepper pot I'd feel much obliged.
We walked around some more and went to the red light district. After a while
I think we all got tired but since Andrea is pregnant she was probably more
tired than any of us. So we walked back to the train station. We had some
silly pictures taken in one of those photo booths. They're funny.
So we made sure they got on the train alright and went our seperate ways. I
just want to say that it was mucho fun meeting you guys and I appreciate the
things you've done. Thanks and we'll see you again someday soon!
