Sharon -- Glad you liked it -- I used to work in HB and live in CM, about a stone's throw from the Taco Mesa. There is a good take out Thai place pretty much right next door that you might also want to consider. Matt ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ T. I am not a big fan of the taco- burrito style of Mexican food, but I kept the place in mind since it is close to where I live. Well, we tried it this weekend for lunch and were very pleased. The restaurant itself is an old Taco Bell building but updated with paint and a display of fresh citrus fruits-very casual. The food was particularly noteworthy for its freshness, and the flavors were great. I liked the condiment bar that had various sauces, escabeche veggies, wedges of lemon and lime, chopped cilantro and several other items. None of the restaurant' s sauces were particularly hot (although fine by me), but other hotter sauces were available in bottles. Well worth a stop. We plan to try it again for dinner as the soups and other dishes sound really good. Thanks to whoever made this suggestion! sharon in huntington beach
