Oh no, that's not it at all ;-)!

It should be a real curry-tomato sauce (ketchup)! However, many 
chippers decide to just sprinkle curry powder on it, and then 
ketchup. Heinz does a pretty good curry ketchup, though I don't 
like their plain tomato ketchup...
Klaus (who is now spoilt for choice with two German supermarkets, 
Aldi and Lidl, nearby who have Bratwurst in their product range...)
