And on a CH-note, thanks to ye Pod-ners who replied to my question
about  dried / ground chile pasilla.  The consensus in brief: 
- Buy chiles pasilla whole, then grind your own. 
- Use a spice grinder or a coffee grinder.
- Use a separate grinder than the coffee grinder, esp. if you live with
young varmints and non-CHs.
