Howdy from southern middle TN,
The above statement is TOO true. Not only "bland", but cooked to death.
The fellow that fills my N2 tank is a Cajun by birth. He took his TN
born wife to LA over the Christmas holidays. He stopped at the first
restaurant over the border into LA that he could find. Crawfish (I imagine
nicely spiced<g>) was their specialty and the tables were adorned with huge
bowls of them. His wife wouldn't touch them and ended up ordering spaghetti.
All I could do was drool over his descriptions.
