The show is scheduled for August 24th-24th. Entries for judging are due May

Also right around that time, the Austin Chronicle holds it's annual Hot
Sauce Festival. Don't know this year's exact dates, though. It is outside
and the temperature is usually around 100.
All-in-all, August is a pretty hot month down here.
