CH's in the South -- Please help! Last year was my first year in Atlanta. I grew mostly from bedding plants in a relatively new garden plot (I think the previous owners may have gardened the area, say, 10 years ago). All of my plants did splendidly -- I lost a couple of jalapenos early in the season to root nematodes, but eradicated them (by hand) and replanted with no real problems. However, my tomatoes started to die off en masse around the middle of August and my chile plants really peaked in, say, late July. No problems with other plants. Everything went into the garden around Easter time, per the group of "Old Timers" that hang around the barber shop where I get my hair cut. So, here is my dilemma -- did I go in too early? Too late? And, when should I be starting my seeds for this year? Today? In two weeks? Two weeks ago? Thanks for any help you can give.... Matt ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ T.
