Is this safe? (Must be, you're not dead and are telling us about it...) I mean, I'd not cook with potatoe/tomatoe/egg plant/deadly nightshade leaves, and the smell o'tomatoe leaves makes me drool far more than the smell o'chile leaves. But then, folks' cats are noshing on these puppies all the time... So must be otay. Never mind! :D green, CH #2156 -----Original Message----- -=> Quoting Jose Cisneros to All <=- JC> As I was watering them I noticed that the leaves of the Aji Amarillo JC> and some of the others exude an odor of perfume, very spicy, much like JC> the flavor of the peppers the plants produce. I too have noted their aroma and found chile leaves to make a fine herb. Whenever I over-winter plants in pots indoors, I prune them and I always save the leaves to cook with. Cheers, YK Jim
