<Upon further examination this past weekend, the only other things that seem to really be in there are chives up the wazoo> tucker, Cold tolerant yessire bob, as they say. I'm in upstate ny and we have been snipping chives for our salad for a week or two now. Could be the previous owner split a large clump into smaller ones and sporadically put them in. I don't find that they spread to a real great degree. But fresh chives will grow in a myriad of lousy conditions, but try and keep them in some decent sunlight if you decide to keep them. My .02 Jim
