>As a lurker for the last couple years the concept of the "open >fields" has always beckoned me, but unfortunately we make the trek >to Indiana about a week earlier for the opening sessions of the US >Grand Prix. The good news is that this year both events are the >same weekend so am making preliminary plans for a longer weekend >this year and visiting the Open fields also. The big question is >probably how many peppers can be packed on my M/C. > Well, I'll have to deal with a question somewhat similar myself - assuming I can make it to the OF this year, El Grande willin'... My questions will be: <1> just how many chiles can I fit in my backpack? (75 litres) <2> check the pack at the airport and risk an orgy of mashed chiles once I land back here in Pokey-tello (and this is the only orgy of anything I would [probably] not enjoy). or <3> wear the pack as my carry-on luggage and risk having to cause a national scene by whoooping the arse of the NGs/security who say "sorry, we have to confiscate those chiles...they could be used as weapons". Simply, don't F?CK with my chiles! And I would go to jail for my chiles, ya know.... or, i suppose... <4> hit the nearest MailboxesRUs place on the way back and ship myself about 40 pounds. Hmmm.....decisions decisions... Or I suppose I could just drive the distance....about 3200 miles round trip....hmmmm. NOT! or the way to go would probably be to buy a cheap standard hard body suitcase, fill it with tiny boxes, bags, etc, and thus pack my chiles; check the suitcase, and hope they don't loose my checked luggage... Yeah, that's the ticket... -- Peace, Hendrix, and Chiles....... Rael64 "And the Lord spake, saying 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shalt be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thou foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.'"
