well, I'm glad this subject came up because I discovered that I didn't
restore these files correctly when I reinstalled my pc! phew! All those
years would've been gone! I've been on the list, quietly, since 1993,
and this is the first recipe that I have in my files.... We were still
at UC Davis at the time, as you can see.... =)

It's not exactly a salsa but I make a chutney that goes very well with
grilled
meats and fish. I don't have the recipe at my office but roughly it
includes
1 habanero
1 ripe mango
1 large ripe peach
juice of 1 lime
curry powder
cumin
I just drop the habanero in a running food processor and then add the
other
ingredients and pulse until semi smooth. The habanero gives it a nice
heat in
contrast to the sweetness of the fruit. It's been a big hit at the
summer
potlucks. I am giving this recipe from memory (which is fading quickly
it
seems) so let me know if you would like the "official" recipe and I will
post
it from home. I also made a nice batch of Inner Beauty hot sauce this
weekend
that is mustard based with 10 habaneros which I would be happy to post
if
anyone is interested. If anyone has any other habanero recipes I would
be
interested - I've frozen all I can and still need to use up a bunch
before our
first killing frost.
