I've had a ginger beer fetish since I was a wee lad (Does anyone else remember Cock and Bull?). At least on the east coast of the US, there are a lot of them available, most of them pretty bad. (In my book, 'pretty bad' amounts to too sweet, lacking in ginger, or both.) I've been disappointed with most of the West Indian/Jamaican brands, even. But one of the few I really like is (a) widely available, and (b) ridiculously cheap. The Goya version, tucked in there amongst the malta and the pineappple soda (usually next to the Goya beans, condiments, etc. in the supermarket) serves very nicely. Not the biggest ginger kick, but, unless you get an old or off batch (which happens), it has a pleasant bite, and isn't overwhelmingly sweet. Usually costs somewhere around 50 cents a bottle. Good stuff. --d/pondering a Moscow Mule..... _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
