I, too, have a chili theme kitchen (work in progress) On the walls, two of the walls are brick and will stay red brick, on the other walls (one of which continues down a short hall) I have selected a true red. Over this will go a "ragged-on" gold glaze. I found a really nice 3 inch foam stamp of a chili (with stem) at a local craft store which I am using to stamp chilis in the original red over the top of the gold glaze. The sample I have done looks great. The gold tones the red down and the chilis end up showing quite well. I also found a chili stencil which I am going to use on the doors of a free standing pantry cabinet.
