Permethrin is one of the newer synthetic pyrethroids--extrapolating from the
lethal dose in rats (LD50 430 to 4000 mg/kg) a 180 lb person would have to
ingest from 34g to 240g (about 1 oz to 8 oz) to have a 50% chance of dying.
Probably choke on it first.  Of course that's a ballpark figure.  Most rats
aren't people. ;-)  A lot safer than sevin, imho.
