My nephew shares my love of chiles and their combination with other foods, speaking of starting them young. He brought me a gift today. My local dairy, Prairie Farms, has come out with a new flavor of ice cream: Jack Rabbit Fudge. It's vanilla ice cream, ribboned with chocolate fudge and mixed with praline pecans that are rolled in cayenne. Very tasty, though the heat is minimal. At least it's noticeable. I noticed on the carton this caption under the "Jack Rabbit": A Canyon Classic. Has anyone else in the States heard of this stuff? Man, US market saturation must be damn near 100% for heat-elevated foods if such a concoction can make its way into one of the least populated counties of rural/agricultural Illinois! -- ´´ Mark McHugh
