Okay, if global warning is a problem, how come our temperature was 31F last night??? We were hardening off chiles and tomatoes and hadn't planted them yet so we moved them back into the greenhouse. The heat wasn't on and a few leaves turned black on plants that were close to the walls, but they survived. Some squash and watermelons which were planted in a raised bed don't look happy but might survive. The Rocoto which spent the winter in the greenhouse is very happy although I haven't seen any blossoms yet. I pruned it a couple of times last winter and will prune it again before taking it out of the pot and sticking it in the garden. Chiles and tomatoes are going to be late this year.
