The first night of my return to Boston, my friends and I went to East Coast Grill in Cambridge, MA. It is owned by Chris Schlesinger, as most of you know. He wasn't there, as expected. We got there a bit too late to actually sit in the restaurant (we would've had to wait an hour or so and my friend had a bum foot and couldn't wait). We sat in the Raw Bar part of the restaurant. We were still able to order dinner and eat there. They were very polite, all the folks who worked there. Especially the bar tender and the woman who was shucking oysters in front of us. I had a Tuna "Taco" for an appetizer - corn tortillas on the plate, covered with tuna slices that were just seared, still rare, with pickled red onions and other things on top. Delicious. For dinner, I had the North Carolina Pulled Pork that came with baked beans, Tidewater Coleslaw, corn bread and a slice of watermelon. It was all delicious. I had some Inner Beauty hot sauce with it. My friend had their Sweet Potato Chowder that had clams in it, and some chile. It was outstanding. She also had the swordfish with chimichurri sauce. It was delectable. Our meal was fabulous. I will go back next time I'm in Boston area. It was worth going back to. The one "hell" dish that night was an appetizer of a duck leg that was cooked in Inner Beauty. It had grilled pineapple with it and a few other things. I'm not thrilled with arugula, which I think was included and that was why I didn't get it. They have "hell night" 2 times a year. Once in the Spring and once in the Fall. I missed the Spring hell Night by a couple of weeks unfortunately. Hell Night is a night that they have only HOT stuff on the menu. All the chile-heads from the area come around that night. I will now get emailed when they do it the next time. I will email when I find out what it is. The restaurant is worth going to. Then go next door to Christina's Ice Cream. Phenomenal ice cream. I had "Avocado" Ice Cream. It was soooo good. RisaG __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
