The first night of my return to Boston, my friends and
I went to East Coast Grill in Cambridge, MA. It is
owned by Chris Schlesinger, as most of you know. He
wasn't there, as expected......
I had a Tuna "Taco" for an appetizer - corn tortillas
on the plate, covered with tuna slices that were just
seared, still rare, with pickled red onions and other
things on top.

I've managed to restrain myself through all of the RC Cola patter (in SE
Ahia, we drink Double Cola, and, most especially Ski pop - a small scale
version of Mt Dew - there is an invisible line between northern and
southern OH above which these products are not available), but I couldn't
resist commenting on the aforemention appetizer. I had a very good friend
(male) many years ago who used the phrase "Tuna Taco" on a daily basis to
describe something which, to him at least, had a similar appearance and I
guess a 'fishy' odor. Sorry if I've offended anyone - if you ever see
someone laughing uncontrollably over the East Coast Grill appetizer menu,
you can assume it is one of my old cronies...
And, to get back on topic, try sauteed (young) horseradish leaves -
garnished with roasted garlic and slices of the chile of your choice - the
horseradish leaves have a pungent, but not hot flavor after cooking...do
take the leaves off the central spine, same as with chard. Can't wait to
dig up some of the roots especially since i already had one sinus infection
this year!
