Hi Signe...No "duh" here! I know exactly what you mean. The hot from peppers is different than the hot from mustard which is different than the hot from horseradish and even the hot from cinnamon (like in those red hot candies) is too much for some people. I guess it's because a different chemical is responsible for heat in different foods (some of our chemical engineer listmembers can explain those facts!) and our tongues react differently to those various chemicals. So...eat away and just know where the heat is and how to enjoy it. SandyO CH #1146 of the moderate persuasion but who can really put down the red hot candies!!
